Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive History and Project based learning curriculum aligned with the curriculum standards
  • Foster critical thinking and active citizenship through discussions, debates, and simulations
  • Encourage students to analyze current events and understand their impact on society
  • Promote democratic values, respect for diversity, and ethical decision-making
  • Assess student understanding through various assessment methods, including projects, presentations, and assessments
  • Cultivate a respectful and inclusive classroom environment that values diverse perspectives

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in History or a closely related discipline
  • At least three (3) years of professional experience in the education sector
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching History using the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Highly organized, committed, and professional in carrying out teaching responsibilities
  • Creative, energetic, and student-centered in instructional approach
  • Possesses strong moral values, integrity, and professional discipline
  • Technologically proficient, with the ability to integrate educational technology into teaching and learning practices
