display appropriate classroom behavior<\/li>\n<li>To provide guidance in completing classroom activities when necessary<\/li>\n<li>To help the student achieve goals stated in his\/her Personalized Education Program (IEP) by implementing agreed-upon accommodations for student<\/li>\n<li>To perform regular data collection for the IEP team*, and<\/li>\n<li>To regularly update the parents and the IEP team* on the student&#8217;s progress<\/li>\n<li>Stay focused<\/li>\n<li>Participate appropriately in class<\/li>\n<li>Notify the teacher if he does not understand the material<\/li>\n<li>Function in an environment where there are many distractions<\/li>\n<li>Be positive in his\/her approach to new tasks; and helping him\/her to gain self control<\/li>\n<li>Improve communication by maintaining eye contact<\/li>\n<li>Encouraging him\/her to ask for help from his\/her teachers<\/li>\n<li>Having him\/her share special interests with the children<\/li>\n<li>Helping him\/her to respond appropriately to his\/her classmates in social situations<\/li>\n<li>Seeing that he\/she compliments his peers when appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Prompting him\/her to initiate discussions with his\/her peers<\/li>\n<li>Encouraging him\/her to learn the interests of his\/her classmates<\/li>\n<li>Every child is unique; therefore, the approach and teaching methods and techniques used by each shadow teacher with each specific student will differ<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Education, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field<\/li>\n<li>Basic understanding of special needs and learning differences<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with IEPs and classroom accommodations<\/li>\n<li>Ability to support behavior management and maintain student focus<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills (with students, teachers, and
