Responsibilites:

• Designing and delivering engaging and interactive civic education lessons that cover topics such as government, politics, law, and social issues
• Fostering critical thinking and encouraging students to form their own informed opinions on civic matters
• Incorporating current events and real-world examples into the curriculum to ensure relevance and practicality
• Collaborating with colleagues to align the civic education programme with the school’s overall educational objectives
• Assessing student progress, providing feedback, and adjusting teaching methods as needed
• Participating in school-wide activities and events to promote civic engagement and community involvement
• Continuously seeking professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and subject knowledge

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civic Education, Politics, or a related field, with a teaching certification or equivalent
• Experience teaching Civic Education or a similar subject at the secondary level (Fresh graduates are welcome)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students of diverse backgrounds
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to facilitate discussions on complex civic issues
• Proficiency in using technology and digital tools to enhance the learning experience
• A passion for education and a commitment to fostering students’ civic awareness and participation
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal
