Responsibilities:
- Maintaining safety and ensuring the welfare of children, supervision of children during all activities, indoors and outdoors
- Maintaining appropriate standards for children’s discipline and behaviour standards using non-punitive methods
- Maintaining a harmonious and efficient work environment
- Attend all staff meetings and other work-related functions, including special events, as required
- Interacting with parents when necessary to communicate children’s progress/tasks
- Participate in planning program curriculum
- Able to lift 20 kilograms
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Energetic personality and team player
- Bachelor’s Degree in education, with a focus on early childhood development
- Experience working with young children in a classroom setting
- Ability to communicate with young children at their level
- Patient, compassionate attitude, with a friendly, energetic disposition
- Good mediation and nurturing abilities
- Creative mindset with an ability to create memorable, out-of-the-box lessons
