Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the overall operations of the institution, ensuring a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment for students and staff
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and initiatives to enhance the academic, social, and personal development of students
  • Provide instructional leadership to faculty members, supporting their professional growth and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Oversee curriculum development, assessment practices, and educational programs to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and community members, to promote positive relationships and engage in shared decision-making
  • Manage the school budget, resources, and facilities effectively, ensuring optimal utilisation and alignment with school goals
  • Lead and participate in school events, activities, and initiatives to promote school pride, spirit, and cohesion

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or post-graduate in Education or related field
  • A minimum of five years of teaching experience with an international curriculum
  • A minimum of three years of experience in education management
  • An understanding of UK/Western higher education and the needs and requirements of international students
  • Direct experience of higher education in an international context
  • Experience in academic assessment and standards and quality assurance procedures
  • Demonstrable cross-cultural awareness and understanding
  • Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to lead, motivate, coach and develop staff
  • A commitment to teamwork, and a demonstrated ability to manage resources effectively, whether human or physical
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills including fluency in English
  • An ability to review assessments outside his/her discipline including formative and summative assessments
  • Competence in the effective use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT)
  • Proven planning and organisational skills and an ability to take initiative within curriculum and policy objectives
  • A record of attention to detail, thoroughness and fairness
  • The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, work under pressure and, when necessary, with minimal resources
