Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted English language instruction to primary ELL students through small-group and in-class support
  • Support students’ development in listening, speaking, reading, and writing within an age-appropriate context
  • Collaborate closely with Primary classroom teachers to plan differentiated instruction and language support strategies
  • Assess, monitor, and document students’ English language proficiency and learning progress
  • Develop and implement individualized or small-group language support plans
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and parents regarding student progress and language development
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom environment
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, TESOL, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Teaching certification and/or TESOL/TEFL qualification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching ELL/ESL students at the Primary level
  • Strong understanding of language acquisition in young learners
  • Experience working in an international or multicultural school setting is an advantage
  • Familiarity with inquiry-based or IB PYP frameworks is an asset
