Responsibilities:
- Instruction: Teach Integrated Science at the MYP level and/or specialized Science subjects (Biology/Chemistry/Physics) at the DP level.
- Curriculum: Design and implement inquiry-based lesson plans following the IB framework.
Laboratory Management: Ensure safety protocols are followed and facilitate hands-on practical experiments. - Internal Assessment: Mentor students through their IB internal assessments (IA) and Extended Essays (EE).
- Values: Integrate Tzu Chi’s humanistic values into the scientific inquiry process
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field). A Master’s degree or IB certification is a significant advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience teaching the IB MYP/DP curriculum or other international curriculum.
- Subject Expertise: Deep understanding of your specific science major and the ability to teach General Science for lower secondary levels.
- Language: High proficiency in English (all instruction and documentation are in English).
- Mindset: Collaborative, lifelong learner, and committed to a holistic approach to education.

The founder of Tzu Chi Foundation is Master Cheng Yen, a Buddhist nun who believes in kindness, compassion, joy, and selfless giving. With a strong determination to free all living beings from suffering, in 1966, she established a charity organization to help everyone as part of her great mission.
With the basic principles of sincerity, truth, faith, and honesty, Master Cheng Yen began to raise charity funds. All funds from donors are used entirely for charity missions. The teachings of Buddha are the guideline for Tzu Chi members. They apply the Dharma in their daily lives sincerely.
