Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver structured, interactive, and engaging Chinese language lessons for primary or secondary school students
  • Develop teaching plans, prepare lessons, and manage classrooms effectively
  • Assess students’ learning and support their participation in school activities, external examinations, and competitions
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and conducive classroom learning environment
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and school staff
  • Participate in departmental meetings and collaborative teaching activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s (S1) or Master’s (S2) degree in Chinese Education, Chinese Language, or Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from a reputable university (overseas graduates are welcome to apply)
  • Relevant teaching qualifications, with strong skills in classroom management, lesson planning, subject knowledge, and the integration of learning technologies
  • A minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in an International or SPK school
  • Familiarity with the Singapore Chinese Primary Curriculum, Cambridge IGCSE/A Level Chinese, or HSK Standard Course
  • Passionate about education, demonstrating patience, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Standard Mandarin pronunciation and excellent Chinese language proficiency
  • Ability to use English for daily communication and collaboration
