Overview
Requirements:
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field
- Valid teaching credential in Music Education or related field
- At least five years of teaching experience in music, with recent experience at the secondary level
- Experience leading and growing multi-level high school music ensembles, including band, strings, and mixed instrumental groups
- Proficiency in teaching students with diverse proficiency levels in the same ensemble setting
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of music theory, string instrument techniques, and repertoire across a range of musical styles and traditions
- Demonstrated experience in directing and conducting student string ensembles in public performances, concerts, and recitals
- Prior experience in an international school setting is preferred
- Skilled in employing contemporary educational models and instructional strategies to enhance curriculum delivery and student learning outcomes
- Committed to a student-centered approach and differentiated instruction
- Active participation in a Professional Learning Community, collaborating in course design, lesson delivery, and assessment
- Openness to new ideas and diverse perspectives
- Willingness to engage in student advisory and pastoral programs
- Experience leading extracurricular activities such as performances, sports, or service clubs is advantageous
- Strong commitment to child safeguarding, service learning, and environmental stewardship
