Overview
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counselling to Secondary School and Junior College students
- Support students’ emotional well-being, personal development, and behavioral growth
- Observe and assess student behavior and provide professional recommendations for interventions
- Develop and implement individualised support plans for students with special educational needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and leadership to support student welfare and learning outcomes
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
- Conduct admissions assessments for prospective students
- Provide professional evaluation reports and recommendations
- Guide students in university selection, applications, and admissions processes (local and international)
- Assist students with career exploration, goal setting, and pathway planning
- Provide guidance on personal statements, recommendation letters, portfolios, and interview preparation
- Organise university fairs, career talks, and information sessions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global university requirements, scholarships, and admission trends
- Liaise with universities, external agencies, and parents regarding student placements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology or related field
- Licensed Psychologist (preferred)
- Proven experience working with adolescents and students with special educational needs
- Experience in university counselling or career guidance is highly desirable
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong interpersonal, counselling, and communication skills
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Adaptable, proactive, and student-focused
- Demonstrates professionalism, empathy, and integrity
