Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Educate students about the fundamental concepts of music theory such as vocalization, rhythm, melody, pitch, and tempo
  • Able to conduct exercises and coaching students choir, vocalization, harmonizing, singing and ensemble musical instruments
  • You may also lead rehearsals in preparation for the school’s musical performances
  • Plans and implements the lesson plan
  • Teaches music courses
  • Leads rehearsals for musical programs
  • Grades written and practical examinations
  • Records student grades and attendance
  • Mentors students
  • Conduct lessons, co-curricular activities, curriculum reviews, examination setting, marking and moderation
  • Create a syllabus and lesson plan
  • Develop instruments and carry out student assessments
  • Monitor and report student progress every month

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of prior experience in teaching
  • Bachelor’s Degree Education is preferred for majoring in Music Arts or those with a Music Education Certificate
  • Mastering the Violin and Keyboard musical instruments
  • Must be licensed to teach
  • Able to read Staff and Numbered Musical Notation
  • Experience teaching music in a formal school, is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Determined and dependable
  • Passionate about music
  • Having good and active English both written and oral skills
  • Having good understanding of the Cambridge Curriculum is an advantage
  • Having experience in teaching English at formal school is an advantage
  • Able to manage the classroom to maintain an orderly learning environment effectively
  • Delivering lessons to students and grading students assignments and exams
  • Honest, diligent, conscientious, nimble and have good initiative and creative;physically and mentally healthy
  • Having good integrity as a teacher
  • Willing to take part in the selection process
