Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with psychologists and classroom teachers to provide individual learning program according to the student’s needs (academic and behavioral challenges, emotional regulation issues, or executive functioning difficulties)
  • Develop lesson plans and activities based on the student’s IEP using differentiated instruction and multi-sensory teaching strategies
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to support student learning
  • Make implementation reports and evaluate program developments along with psychologists and classroom teachers
  • Provide regular reports on child development to parents
  • Supervise and train teaching assistants
  • Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Maintain an ongoing and comprehensive student profile for each student
  • Others: The school may assign other functions to the job when required

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Needs Education or Psychology
  • Holding a certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), speech therapy, play therapy, or other related areas is preferred
  • Minimum with two years of working experience as a Special Needs Teacher in a school with an English environment
  • Have a good understanding of the Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) concept for special needs students
  • Understand the concept of inclusive education and learning strategies for children with special needs
  • Have a good understanding of child development stage (especially on speech-language development is preferred) and implemented differentiate strategies for each student’s needs
  • Proven self-initiative, creative, and teamwork spirit with an open-minded character
  • Possess strong religious characters
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written
  • Ready to join in July 2025
