Overview
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with psychologists and classroom teachers to provide individual learning program according to the student’s needs (academic and behavioral challenges, emotional regulation issues, or executive functioning difficulties)
- Develop lesson plans and activities based on the student’s IEP using differentiated instruction and multi-sensory teaching strategies
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to support student learning
- Make implementation reports and evaluate program developments along with psychologists and classroom teachers
- Provide regular reports on child development to parents
- Supervise and train teaching assistants
- Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
- Maintain an ongoing and comprehensive student profile for each student
- Others: The school may assign other functions to the job when required
Requirements:
- Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Needs Education or Psychology
- Holding a certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), speech therapy, play therapy, or other related areas is preferred
- Minimum with two years of working experience as a Special Needs Teacher in a school with an English environment
- Have a good understanding of the Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) concept for special needs students
- Understand the concept of inclusive education and learning strategies for children with special needs
- Have a good understanding of child development stage (especially on speech-language development is preferred) and implemented differentiate strategies for each student’s needs
- Proven self-initiative, creative, and teamwork spirit with an open-minded character
- Possess strong religious characters
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Ready to join in July 2025
