Overview
Responsibilities:
- Deliver impactful Christ or Catholic religious education to students in Grades 7-12
- Design and teach engaging lessons that seamlessly integrate the Merdeka curriculum with core religious principles
- Foster a respectful, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages students to explore and deepen their understanding of faith and moral values
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, supporting their spiritual and personal development
- Thoughtfully assess student progress, delivering constructive feedback that nurtures both their faith and academic growth
- Participate in school events and religious activities as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Christ or Catholic teachings, the Bible, and church history
- Proven experience with Merdeka Curriculum
- Excellent proficiency in English is preferred
- At least 1 year of impactful teaching experience
- Passion for guiding children in their spiritual journey, cultivating a supportive and nurturing environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents, and staff
- Must be a practicing Christ or Catholic, with a deep understanding of Christ or Catholic beliefs and traditions
- Team player who thrives independently and collaboratively
- Teaching certification or relevant training is a plus
