Overview
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality, interactive science lessons that adhere to International standards (Cambridge and/or IB frameworks)
- Inquiry-Based Learning: Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages students’ curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on scientific inquiry
- Assessment: Monitor and assess students’ progress using relevant framework criteria, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Science Department to continuously improve the program, share best practices, and engage in cross-curricular initiatives
- Professional Growth: Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest pedagogical innovations in Science education
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience teaching Science at the Primary or Secondary level within an international school setting
- Curriculum Knowledge: Strong expertise and proven track record in delivering the Cambridge Curriculum (Checkpoint, IGCSE, or A-Level) and/or the International Baccalaureate (IB PYP, MYP, or DP)
- Communication: Excellent English proficiency, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly
- Classroom Management: Outstanding skills in managing diverse classrooms and the ability to inspire students across different age groups
- Tech Integration: Proficiency in integrating modern laboratory technology and digital tools into lesson plans to enhance the learning experience
- Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and the wider school community
- Mindset: A passionate educator committed to continuous learning and the holistic values of Tzu Chi School

About Yayasan Buddha Tzu Chi Wiyata
The founder of Tzu Chi Foundation is Master Cheng Yen, a Buddhist nun who believes in kindness, compassion, joy, and selfless giving. With a strong determination to free all living beings from suffering, in 1966, she established a charity organization to help everyone as part of her great mission.
With the basic principles of sincerity, truth, faith, and honesty, Master Cheng Yen began to raise charity funds. All funds from donors are used entirely for charity missions. The teachings of Buddha are the guideline for Tzu Chi members. They apply the Dharma in their daily lives sincerely.
