Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver fun, developmentally appropriate Mandarin lessons for Preschool and Elementary students
  • Introduce basic vocabulary, simple phrases, characters, and beginner reading & writing (stroke order, pinyin as needed)
  • Use songs, stories, games, movement, and hands-on activities to build language immersion
  • Create a warm, supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and confidence
  • Develop and update lesson plans aligned with school curriculum and learning goals
  • Assess student progress through informal and formal methods (observations, checklists, simple assessments)
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents as required
  • Maintain a safe, orderly classroom environment suited to early-aged learners
  • Guide students’ behavior using positive reinforcement and age-appropriate strategies
  • Communicate with parents about students’ learning and classroom activities
  • Collaborate with homeroom teachers and other language teachers to support cross-curricular activities
  • Participate in school events, performances, cultural celebrations, or language-related programs
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
  • Prepare learning materials, visual aids, and multimedia resources
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments
