Overview

Responsibiities:

  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students, addressing a range of personal, social, and academic concerns
  • Develop and implement comprehensive guidance programmes that promote students’ well-being, self-awareness, and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to identify and address students’ needs, and to create tailored support plans
  • Manage referrals to external support services and coordinate with relevant professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student care
  • Contribute to the creation and delivery of workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on topics such as mental health, educational psychology, and child development
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records, and prepare reports as required
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of student services and school counselling

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Counselling, Educational Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a School Counselor or in a similar student support role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
  • Thorough understanding of child and adolescent development, and the ability to tailor support accordingly
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in student services and school counselling
  • Proficiency in Indonesian and English, both written and spoken
