Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities that support the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of children
  • Establish a positive, inclusive and safe classroom culture that encourages learning and exploration
  • Observe and document children’s progress, and use this information to inform lesson planning and differentiation
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to support each child’s individual needs and growth
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the school
  • Participate in staff meetings, training and professional development opportunities
  • Assist with school-wide events and activities as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching in an early childhood education setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents and colleagues
  • Ability to create a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Patience, creativity and a genuine passion for early childhood education
  • Current teaching certification or license (preferred)
